William Rose School caters for preschool children and students who have a sensory disability and multiple disabilities, students who have a hearing disability plus an additional disability, and students who are deaf-blind. Children may enrol from preschool until 18 years of age.

TCQ designed and constructed new school general learning areas, a library, canteen staff facilities, extensive sensory gardens, soft-fall paving and other landscaping.
